I use a virtual sme9 under Proxmox, each time I used the "signal-event post-upgrade ..." command or a daily Backup of the whole virtual sme9 under Proxmox I have to accept a self-signed certificate under Mozilla Thunderbird...

Any suggestions how to fix this issue ?

the suggested solution might work or not,but is anyway a good practice.

I would rather like to investigate the reason of this happening.
- are you up to date with all latest update available installed ?
- can you check the date and time  before and after the events leading to this ?
- can you check the issued date and expiration date of the issued certificate ?

I suspect a problem with the date being wrong at the moment the certificate is issued, making it expired as soon as it is created.
this could happen if the proxmox drivers are not installed in the vm, to let access to the BIOS date and hour.
