Dump breaks randomly..
« on: September 01, 2002, 08:59:30 AM »
Hi

When using Flexback in SME 5.5 I get the following problem at apparently random intervals....

.
.
.
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Sat Aug 31 21:45:56 2002
DUMP: Dumping /dev/md1 (/) to standard output
DUMP: Added inode 7 to exclude list (resize inode)
  DUMP: Label: /1
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
  DUMP: estimated 455417 tape blocks.
DUMP: Volume 1 started with block 1 at: Sat Aug 31 21:51:42 2002
  DUMP: dumping (Pass III) [directories]
DUMP: dumping (Pass IV) [regular files]
buffer (writer): write of data failed: Input/output error
bytes to write=10240, bytes written=-1, total written         10K
  DUMP: Broken pipe
DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.
.
.
.

My questions,

1.  Have others noticed this....
2.  Is it something I am doing wrong?
3.  Is there some way to make Flexbackup rerun the backup if this happens.

Thanks in advance

David
