I am trying to new SME install. Prompts after starting installation and cdrom -local ,placement.
Installation can not continue

32 or 64 bit?
please post a screenshot
and, more.. on wich kind of pc? is it a server? what?

I tried 32 64.
I switched computers.
The same result.
I installed and tested SME 8 works.
Need SME 9.

Just because SME8 works on certain hardware does not mean that SME9 will work on the same hardware.

You need to confirm that the hardware (computer) you are installing sme9.2 to, does support that version of SME/CentOS.
Check the manufacturers compatibility lists for CentOS 6.9

You can download CentOS 6.9 & try installing that, if it installs OK then SME9.x should install.
If CentOS 6.9 does not install OK, then you probably have compatibility issues.
Some issues could be solved by disabling features & drivers in BIOS.

Also you could download the SME9.2 iso file again & reburn a DVD/CD, perhaps your download or burn process was faulty.
You should also run the media test on your SME9.2 DVD/CD & do the checksum test to make sure the burnt DVD/CD is good.

You need to be more descriptive with the information you provide us, your comments are very short & not very informative.
Take a screen shot with a camera/phone showing the error on screen & upload it here or to a free image site & post a link here.
You need to give more information about what you are doing, exactly what hardware (computer brand & model etc) you are using & details about the error message or messages, & details about the steps you followed to get to that point in time (what you did step by step to get the error).
Please search before asking, an answer may already exist.

I have no doubt there is a problem with the instal.
This is not the first I'm installing sme9.
A year ago I installed the old version
Of 9. And there were no problems.

In case you do no know what checking the media/iso is:
To check your iso download & media
When you first start to use the CD/DVD you should be prompted to test the media, please do this as it verifies that the whoel contents of the medai are good.

Alternatively you can get the md5 or SHA1 checksum from here
https://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Download
download for example the free md5sum.exe program (search Internet)
& run the command against your CD/DVD or iso image file & check that the answer matches the officially released md5sum figure (available from the link above).

ן checking the media/iso the medai are good.
i test 4 medai cd/dvd 
4 Computers i test new and old pc
3 cdrom /dvd test
10 install 9.2 is not work




I installed an old version 9.1
smeserver-9.1-x86_64.iso
767 MB 17-Jul-2016, 09:26:30
Excellent installation without any problems.
