Crazy Thunderbird - could not add account

Hi,

In all our infrastructure, most of our users are using Thunderbird Client.

This evening I add a problem to add new account through Thunderbird (I done it 100 times). So I try it 20 times and I could not set new accounts (change pass, test in clear copy paste through webmail...). Updates servers...

I try on PC Windows 10, Windows 7 with old (45) or last Thunderbird version... (5x) : each time I cannot set a normal IMAP Account : it says that Thunderbird does not have found the account information.

Each time,I put manually our name/dns mail server, I did it in the past hundreds times...

I got more crazy  :x then I decide to set up it trough Outlook 2016: it works through IMAP
I test with MAIL (from Mac Os): its works with Imap

So its only with TB I got the problem !
I dont know what's the problem exactly, but could be Thunderbird client/server testing?! when it is adding/testing the account on the setup.

Seems to be (maybe): zen.spamhaus.org was not responding (https://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,53368.0.htmlt)
when I bypass one of our IP, I did not have the problem anymore through Thunderbird (adding account)....crazy

Well, you should tell us exactly what you set, and what error you have. Without this, we can't help

So, because of zen.spamhaus.org when trying to add a new account, TB says "Looking for configuration" then "TB did not success to find your mail settings for your mail account" (translated from french)
Please find the JPG screenshot.

My server is totally well configured for Imaps 993/Smtps 465.

To resolve it:
When I put my Internet/Router (office) IP in : Qpsmtpd whitelisthosts and qpsmtpd whitelisthelo then I can normally add an account (very fast) or normally send emails with already account setup (if not it takes 10/15 sec for connections when sending emails).

Is the problem from spamhaus?

As per your thread here https://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,53368.msg276948.html#msg276948 I think your problems are to do with your setup.

Having a machine in server only with a public IP is most likely where your problems lie. Not in Thunderbird or SME itself. The 'dummy' IP for server gateway was implemented for your type of scenario on VM (I have several myself)

I strongly suggest you follow the advice in that thread.

Thanks for you Help ALL.
Indeed, I answer to the other thread, it seems that my Primary DNS (OVH dedicated Server) was problematic.
