[SOLVED (again)] .club TLD not showing in server-manager?
« on: November 30, 2017, 10:56:38 PM »
Just registered a .club domain and added it on the Domains page on my fully-updated SME 9.2 server.  When I went to the Hostnames and Addresses page, though, none of the "default" hostnames (www, e-smith, ftp, etc.) appear there.  When I try to add a new hostname, the new domain doesn't appear in the dropdown.  Seems odd to me.  Where should I start looking to figure out what's going on?

I'd say /var/log/messages...

I'd say /var/log/messages...
Doesn't look like anything relevant there--nothing comes up there when I load the Hostnames page in the server-manager, and no errors show up when I grep for the domain name.  There's nothing at all in /var/log/httpd-admin/* (as in, literally no content anywhere in that directory--there are files, but they're all 0 bytes).

This post might hold the clue :

Indeed it does--and it's even my own thread!  Though to quote myself from that thread:
Quote
This leads to the question, though, of whether "Internet DNS Servers" is a suitable default, especially when the page has the note that "The default will be correct for most networks."
Time to file a bug.  https://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10470
