Topic: Login inconsistency

Hi, I'am baffeled. I can login from the browser console as admin, but I can't from the commandline on the e-smith server. I get no errors, the date and last login info flashes by, but I go right back to the login prompt after inputting the same password I use on the browser console!

Please help.
BTW I am a Linux newbe, pretty good in Windows and DOS.

To log into the console try using
userid: root
pass: same as passwd used for admin.

If you haven't done so already I would suggest reading the users guide.  Can be found at ftp://ftp.e-smith.net/pub.
