You are confusing things here by having two separate threads around the same basic issue.
I changed the horde52 configuration in the web manager, like I activated ActiveSync.
Now I wonder if those changes are taken over into the e-smith template. Or will they be overwritten by the next update?
Yes it will be.
The configuration is templated and the conf template is located here:
/etc/e-smith/templates/home/httpd/html/horde/config/conf.php
If you had read the file you would see this:
head /home/httpd/html/horde/config/conf.php
<?php
/*
#------------------------------------------------------------
# !!DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE!!
#
# Manual changes will be lost when this file is regenerated.
That file gets expanded by console-save which should also sort out your permissions.
config setprop horde ActiveSync enabled
signal-even console-save
I've added some config settings to the wiki page here:
https://wiki.contribs.org/index.php?title=Horde5Lessons to be learned - check the config files and if it says Do Not Modify then there is a good reason for this.
You either have to modify your config via db settings, or hack about with your own custom-template.
