access to /server-manager/
« on: September 16, 2002, 03:13:40 PM »
I have a problem accessing the server-manager directory from a web browser!
The system was recently upgraded from 5.1.2 to 5.5 and in the process the
access to the server-manager pages now tells me that I don't have access rights
I'm logging in using admin.
I can gain access to the server-manager via a putty ssh session, which allows me most things. Except one thing I cannot uplock a newly created account.
Help!

the bug fix hasn't worked!
I'm still unable to access the pages :(
the .conf files don't appear to have been altered much from their basic state!
the error is a 403 error
do I need to look at the permissions on the directories or something?

I too did an upgrade over the weekend from a 5.0 to 5.5.  Is your problem that you can access the info on the left side of the server manager pane?  If so, then I can concur with you that the bug fix doesn't work.  If I use the port 980 on the internal network it will work, but it won't work with e-smith-manager or server-manager.  If this is the same type of error, I'll post the error message I receive in the left frame.

I too have a problem with accessing the server manager.  Something wron with the http config.  SSH doesn't  work either.  Here's what happened:

- Fresh install of 5.5 on a i586 said it completed without errors.
- During first boot displayed errors for httpd and httpd-admin (I guess the ssh).
------ Syntax error on line 548 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf :
------ Invalid command 'AddHandle', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
-----------------------------------
------ Syntax error on line 191of /etc/httpd/admin-conf/httpd.conf :
------ Invalid command 'Program', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

So, I decided to reinstall.  The disc detected the first installation and did an upgrade.  I didn't notice any errors during boot-up but found the following error in my log:
------ Syntax error on line 167 of /etc/httpd/admin-conf/httpd.conf :
------ Cannot add module via name 'mod_usule50' : not in list of loaded modules

Now, I can access the http server but not my server-manager.  Plus my ssh still doesn't work.  Help.

I just looked at my /etc/httpd/admin-conf/httpd.conf and it has garbage on that line.  No wonder it's screwed up.  The template is messed too.

Anyone no where I get an original.
