yes selected test media then install

yes does get to select language, indicates its a beta etc, select yes i want to install etc

then produces the unknown error

Have you tried the text installer?

I have seen that error when attempting to install to a Intel SSD, didnt like the microservers Sata2

You may have a hrdware compability issue and

Also see it when system resources are low eg a VM on prox with other VMs running as well while trying to install

It is worth getting a completely stock CentOS 7 and test install for hardware compatibility. Just to be sure. If that works SME most likely will.

Forget CentOS 8 as it is irrelevant in this instance - our v10 is based on CentOS 7 so that's the target.

Looking up specs of the Giada F102D-BK541 you might be in trouble...try the text installer anyway...

my giada currently has a 32Gb sandisk 1/2 height mSATA in it, previously tried with the 500Gb crucial ssd - either way i get the same error. youve indicated the giada specs might be an issue, what specifically ?

CentOS 7 can be obtained easily from CentOS mirrors.

Google or DDGo will help you.......

nm.py stands for network manager

disable your wifi integrated card from the bios.
if still not working disable the embedded network card

if it work then you are good to keep your mother board but buy a new network card or find a supporting driver after the install.

or maybe not. it happens that anaconda does not support a card and the kernel of the os does ....
anyway disable those in the bios and try to pass the installer

CPU, sata2?  although I couldnt find a detailed spec sheet just the general ones, as I said I had problems with my Microserevr, similar cpu, and sata with now three ssds, a Intel 540s, a Samsung 870 evo and a samsumg 883 dct..had no issues with samsung 840 evo, crucial 120, was my long running 9.2 instal, a coarsair BX and now a seagate bararcauda.

The intel returned the same error as yours, the others installed but then would throw sata3 errors..went back to latest seagate barracuda 500gb.

Have also seen that error on a Prox VM when the system is under high load and trying to create a new VM of sme10

All else has been eliminated , iso is good, dvd is good..I know sme10 installs and runs on my HP Microserver N40L, now pushing 10yrs old and low specced..atom cpu 8gb of RAM..hardware is all thats left
