httpd crashes on monday night

help how can i find out why httpd stops on monday night where do i look most importantly how do i fix it.
i am runing sme 5.0 with all the current updates and a flurry of addins including squidguard/Sarg, portforwarding awstats

i found this ( is this a DOS attacc

after much searching i have found that httpd seems to stop
at
[Tue Sep (date) 04:02:00 2002 ] [notice] SIGHUP received. Attempting to restart
then it doesn't seem to get to the
[notice] Apache/1.3.22 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.5 OpenSSL/0.9.6 mod_gzip/1.3.19.1a PHP/4.0.6 configured -- resuming normal operations
until i restart httpd manually.
hope this may help someone fix my problem

It could be a problem with logrotate(), perhaps on Monday night your logs are rotating and HTTPD isn't restarting...
