Zyxel 645R

I have ADSL router Zyxel 645R that is connected to first eth on my SME server. The second eth Card of my SME server connects to a switch where all my lan computers are connected.

Someone can help me in configuring Zyxel router correctly so that only SME server will act as a firewalling and also to have services (web, mail) available from outside lan (internet)?

Thank you very much

Configure the Zyxel router by carefully packing it into a cardboard box and placing it in the second drawer of your desk. Then connect the ethernet cable to your ADSL modem, and configure the SME server via the admin console. Your SME server will now act as a firewall, and your internet services will be visible (as long as your domain's DNS is correctly configured).

Christian,

If you just have one Zyxel router, with no ADSL modem, you shoult try to configure your Zyxel router to do nothing.
So open router web interface , go to Advanced Setup, SUA Applications,
and as default put your SME server ip address!

This will do everything go to your SME server.
If you have another configurations on slots 2-8 you should be sure them are pointing to your SME server or what you know why not!
You could erase them but write down everything on  a piece of paper before just in case.

I have done this one a 642R and it´s working. If you need some help , write a e-mail to me!

I hope you´re working in a few minutes after receive this!

Good luck!
