How to affa
« on: October 19, 2021, 04:13:54 PM »
Hello.
I seems to be very stupid, but after I day search...
I need to make a smeserver.tgz backup by affa from the command line.
When i run it with "rsyncCompress=yes" parameter I still receive the directory structure in the /var/affa.
Do I need to make the direct TGZ  from this tree into smeserver.tgz?
Or should it bee some specific tgz generated by affa?
Thank you and again - sorry for the stupidity...

I really think you need to tell us what you are trying to do rather than your attempts at a solution.

Nothing you have said seems to make any real sense.

So please go back to the start and tell us what you are trying to do, and why.

1. Read the Manual
2. Read the Wiki
3. Don't ask for support on Unsupported versions of software
4. I have a job, wife, and kids and do this in my spare time. If you want something fixed, please help.

Sorry!
I am trying to move my 9.2 server to v10. Because of certificates problem my web manager doesn’t work on 9.2, I am forced to use command line.
I wanted (as recommended) to make backup in 9.2 and restore in fresh v10 installation.
How do I do backup from CLI? Everywhere all speak about smeserver.tgz to be restored in my v10, but how do I make smeserver.tgz?

Jean-Philippe, thank you really.
And I was right - stupidity is the illness...:-)
BTW, I am using SME for years and never new about "console" option.
I studies A LOT of wiki, contrib forums and never encountered this very very powerful option.
May be it is worth adding somewhere something more noticeable.
Again, this "console" is the great thing!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!
