Hello everyone. Although I am quite a novice in these matters, I have to deal with these things. I need help and would appreciate if anyone can guide me.
The current situation is as follows;
I have only one global ip address and many domains. Http ports are forwarded to IIS server. I also have a linux server for a cloud system. This server is running behind IIS and with reverse proxy. I managed to configure this system.
I am currently using an external mail server for my domains. However, I want to set up a reliable mail server on my own network. For testing purposes, I forwarded the mx records of one domain to my own global ip address. I installed SmeServer 10 version on another server in my network and as of now I have done all the updates from the administration panel.
I made the following settings from the admin panel.
POP3 server access : Allow private and public (secure POP3S)
IMAP server access : Allow private and public (secure IMAPS)
Webmail login : Allow for HTTPS (secure)
I forwarded all mail-related ports (25, 26, 110, 143, 465, 993, 995) to Sme server through the router. But some ports (26,110,143) are blocked by ISP. Are these ports necessary? Also I setted reverse proxy on IIS server for http ports to Sme server.
I can send mail to any address (eg gmail) by logging into webmail (horde). But I can't receive mail. There are a few messages sent by root in the Horde inbox. When I try to open them, I get the error Unable to load the script driver "Ingo_Script_imap".
There is also a general SSL warning, I haven't done anything about it yet.
The point I want to reach is to create a full-featured mail server associated with my own domains for my own users.
What route/priority should I follow to continue the configuration?
I took your time to read. Thank you for this and for your interest.
