Many websites timing out after 10.1 upgrade
« on: September 28, 2022, 01:44:22 AM »
I an unable to access many websites from SME, including koozali.org the day after I upgraded to 10.1.

The issue exists with both Chrome & Safari.  I have cleared browsing history, including caches.

how did you updated?

what logs are saying ?

particularly dns service log
/var/log/dnscache/current

some more info about server : gateway or server only?
self dns server or forwarded to another service.

seems that Terry has the same timeout issue currently and he lives in Australia. Do you happen to live around there ?

might be a routing issue with a local ISP or cable under the ocean.

you can give a try with

Code: [Select]
mtr koozali.orgor any other domain with a timeout

Upgraded via SSH, not server manager
Running as server gateway mode

DNS CACHE log extremely chatty

trcaeroute to koozali shows 96% traffic loss on the us side of the big puddle. Although I can access it fine from my phone.

I had no interruption to access, for all my evening (american east coast) , but when I try to mtr to few Australian ISP I also see a lot of packet losts (>85%) on relay around the west coast.
I would say that there is some routing issue or equipment broken around there, just need to be patient before it become better.

Agree not an 10.1 issue.
