STOP THE HATE

Without knowing your servers mode, update status, contribs, custom setups, system config, no-one can answer with any degree of certainty and thats because what you are seeing is not what most are experincing. The answers to the questions help to triage whats happening

Totally agree, way too many unknowns, especially with the external mail filter, as well as the OPs apparent rudeness and roundabout way of asking questions, and attacking those that are trying to help, but that might be a cultural and/or language issue.

Anyway, back to the original duplicates problem; my advice is to create a new email account and only access it using webmail (no outlook, thunderbird, etc). Test this account thoroughly using webmail only. See if the duplicates show up again in webmail. If no duplicates then this shows that the mail server and filter aren't causing the issues.

I'm still guessing it's an IMAP synchronization quirk, but it's hard to be sure with the lack of info.

Indeed.

The OP seems intent on wasting time rather than providing the required information, likely because they have been hacking around wildly and have made mess of their machine and do not want to reveal that to others.

Like I said right at the start. A classic XY Problem.

You can't help someone who is not prepared to help themselves, or who will not provide proper debugging information.

They don't even understand that I am happy to try and and help, but can do nothing unless they provide the requested information.

I give up. I have broken ipsecs to fix.

<sigh>

in outlook advanced settings there is a timeout setting for outlook sending, increase the timer. I cannot lookup a client to get the exact details of the setting at the moment. If the email isn't sent before the timeout outlook sends it again.

Thank you Gary for your reply

i have done the setting for all users but i still am having an issue with duplicate emails of some users

is there not a contrib that can look for incoming duplicates and delete them?

Fix the issue, don't hack around it.

Please go back and read what we previously said about providing some proper debug information.

https://forums.koozali.org/index.php/topic,54724.0.html

All we know is you have a SME 10.x in server only mode and use the worst IMAP client of all Outlook of unknown version.

(IIRC Outlook doesn't properly save Outging mails in the IMAP sent folder unless you run a script to copy from the local Sent to the IMAP sent. Is that still the case?)

Are you using IMAP/POP?

Does you mail server send mail directly or via some upstream server?

Have you tried setting up a test account and access it with JUST webmail or Thunderbird? Get Outlook OUT of the equation.

What is the setup of your server - see instructions above for some debugging output.

What do your logs say?

Without any of this information we just can't - it's just guess work which wastes people time.

It is an outlook issue, mainly remote and mobile clients:

It's more likely a POP/Config issue as per the OPs other post here:

https://forums.koozali.org/index.php/topic,55224.0.html

Answer is avoid POP3 at all costs.
