User Manager not working?
« on: September 23, 2002, 03:09:48 AM »
Gidday all well I installed devinfo-mitel-usermanager-pkg-0.0.1-8.noarch.rpm and it worked fine until I installed e-smith-isp-0.1-7.noarch.rpm and now when I try to access it at https://localhost/user-manager I get a 404 not found error.

So does anyone know what I did wrong and how I can fix it? I have tryed uninstalling rpm -e but it says "error: package devinfo-mitel-usermanager-pkg-0.0.1-8.noarch.rpm is not installed" So I try reinstalling and I get: "package devinfo-mitel-usermanager-pkg-0.0.1-8 is already installed" So I try forcing it and it installs fine, but still get 404 error when i try to load it.

Thanks in Advance,

Cyrus,

I can't even get the "user panel access" menu to show up. Can anyone tell me why? I'm not a novice, but this looked pretty automatic, and there's very little documentation. I'm running 5.5 with all current patches.

Whne you say "user panel access" do you mean the "User Accounts" link on the left to open up the user account menu in server manager? The user manager rpm I used did not add a link into the normal server manager page, I have to manually type in the address to access it.

Got a big problem with that package here:

Installed the user-manager rpm.

log on https://server/user-manager with admin user (and my normal user no difference)

Gets:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /user-manager//cgi-bin/userpanel-initial on this server.

When I try to upgrade it:
package e-smith-userpanel-pkg-0.0.1-1 is already installed

When I try to remove it (rpm -e)
error: package e-smith-userpanel-pkg-0.0.1-1.noarch.rpm is not installed

How do I remove it and clean up the system to try from scratct on this one again ?

rpm -e e-smith-userpanel-pkg

(i.e. only the name of the package, not the complete filename)

Still get forbidden when I reinstalled the package.

(Tried both ver. 1.0-10 and 1.0-11and 0.0.1-1)

I can remove them, but no chance to get access when reinstalled.
1.0-10 and 1.0-11 both show up perfectly in the server-manager,
allowing me to grant the flags to my users, but they all get forbidden when trying to log on to the user-manager.
