Cannot install / setup smeserver-crowdsec
« on: October 11, 2026, 07:47:33 PM »
Tried to install smeserver-crowdsec in a new SME11 VM with a migrated SME10 VM in Proxmox. I followed the Wiki:

dnf install smeserver-extrarepositories-crowdsec
expand-template /etc/yum.smerepos.d/sme-base.repo
dnf install smeserver-crowdsec

But when it comes to “cscli console enroll YOURID”

-bash: cscli : commande introuvable

this is expected, crowdsec builds with an el9 tag, but it works on el8.
their repo is  https://packagecloud.io/crowdsec/crowdsec/rpm_any/rpm_any/$basearch

missing cscli, means crowdsec rpm is NOT installed, so the command before must have return output saying it was not installed.

please report the output of the commands when you enter them the first time.

Code: [Select]
dnf install smeserver-extrarepositories-crowdsec
Code: [Select]
dnf install smeserver-crowdsec

Also I would be curious of the output of
Code: [Select]
rpm -q  smeserver-crowdsec  crowdsec
not yet time to open a bug report
