Well, hundreds of systems, including all of our internal systems, upgraded
fine. We do test our software, after all, and the content of the update
our paying customers apply is identical to that which we provide to
our GPL users. If Update2 broke things, we'd have a powerful incentive
to fix it quickly.
There have been very few bug reports on Update2, and no critical ones I
can think of, so I'm not sure which issues you're referring to.
However, your system is currently a vector for the Slapper worm, because
you haven't applied the OpenSSL update that patches the security
vulnerability by which it propagates. Since your system will start attacking
other systems once it gets infected, you should consider disconnecting it
from the Internet until you are ready to apply the fix.
(There's an advisory about the worm on
www.e-smith.org.)
