Problem with WWW
« on: October 01, 2002, 07:58:21 PM »
Hello.
I have configured my SME server 5.5 with all services PUBLIC.
I don't have an external domain name published on my server so I use a domain name only for my internal LAN (mydomain.com).

Now, if I try to access my SME server from internet thru port 110 (for mail), it works and answer me.

If I put in my browser http://X.X.X.X (my static internet IP address) it waits for a while and after that answer me that the server is not reachable.

Ping is working ok (of course, since also mail works good!).

Any help?

Christian

Your ISP could be blocking TCP Port 80.

Is there a firewall between the Server and the Client machine?

No firewalls and no ISP blocked ports....

Is the webserver reachable from the inside? If not you could try restarting httpd.
