Greetings,

I have a few users requesting that they get like an envolope that appears by thier clock in windows when new mail arrives so they dont have to have outlook open all the time.  Is there such a program available?  If sowhere can I get it.

You can setup Outlook to check eMails every Minute (polling). A Server notification is only possible with Microsoft Excange Server.

I would check tucows.com or downloads.com. I think there are some third party notifiers out there.  I use this one but not sure if it meets your needs.

I've had excellent results with IMAP Notify, from VanDyke.

Never had a problem after 30+ client installs connecting to an e-smith box. Can be set to just change icon in the tray or config'd to have a animated (MS) Agent tell you you have mail. Dead simple to install & configure. Best, the users LOVE it and you'll be a hero!

You can check it out at:

If you are using IMAP through outlook (not outlook express) it should do this automatically. Through POP you just have to decrease polling to once every minute. If you are using the SME server web mail you just minimize the browser window and you will get a popup on your screen when new mail arrives.
