Hi Jon,
I don't know who or what RCN is, but I assume that it is an ISP.
It's quite unusual to find an ISP which does not use PAP authentication (since that is what win9x uses by default). But you have looked in the logfile and found a PAP authentication problem.
I doubt that you will need to use 3 files and 3 scripts. You may need to make one or two small changes. What I suggest that you do is first check that you know the correct password - try connecting to RCN using win95, for instance. Then if you can email me RCN's suggestions I can have a look at them and see what you really need to do.
