Topic: admin can't login via web

I can login via console and ssh  but can't login via server-manager
I have been using the web panel before.
The problem started after i changed the admin passwd via ssh
(since i can't change it via user-password panel)
I have tried resetting the password several times but no luck
I'm sure the password i'm typing is correct (caps lock off).

Maybe i have done something that caused this but i can't figure out what.
This is an e-smith 5.5 on server-only mode.
