Anyone have an idea when the next version of SME Server will be out?

Also, has anyone heard what kind of features are going to be included in the new version?  I imagine IMP 3.1 is going to be in there, but what else do you guys think they will include?

Rather than speculate, why not download the beta?  IMP 3.1 won't be there, though.  They're going to a 2.4 kernel, and updating just about everything to RH 7.3 packages.

Don't know when it's coming out, though--I'd expect soon, but official word is "when it's done."

Hmm.  Very interesting.  How easy is it to install IMP 3.1 manually on SME?

I think I will take a look at the beta...

Does anyone know if you can import backups from 5.5 into the beta version?

VERY Easy - check the forums for 'HORDE' and you'll run across some threads that I was a part of.

To install IMP 3.1, you can take a look at the RPM I've built--it's in my contrib directory on ftp.e-smith.org.

The beta is also on ftp.e-smith.org--shouldn't be too hard to find.
