OS 9 -> e-smith = strange files permissions

Hi,

Here is my problem :

I have an ibay called "Transfert", 2 computers on a LAN : 1 using Mac OS 9.2 and 1 using Mac OS X 10.2.

These 2 computers are in the same group ("staff").

When the OS 9 computer put a directory not empty all its containing files have not the right group owner. The group owner is set to the user name.

So I am unable to get the files from OS X.

I only can get files not directories.

I'am running e-smith 5.5 Update2.
have you seen this problem ?
