We have a remote office accessing our SMTP server via Nathan Fowler's x-before-SMTP addon. When 5.5 with Mailfront was first released, there was nothing available to provide this functionality. Now that Damien Curtain's package (
http://www.pagefault.org/e-smith/contrib/#securemail) is available, I'm thinking I might upgrade. It seems that most of the issues have been ironed out, although there are still a handful of things that are listed as fixed in 5.6.
I have quite a few of the contributed addons installed as well. Are there any that will specifically cause problems with 5.5? I know the x-before-smtp will have to go (it won't be used anymore anyway), and that the Services panel isn't 100% working with it. Most of the addons' latest versions support 5.5 now, so I'm not too worried if I have to update something outdated to make it work, but I'd like to know about any packages that will actually cause bad things to happen.
Thanks in advance for any info,
Bill
