SME5.5U2, USB error
« on: December 12, 2002, 06:08:34 AM »
I keep getting this on bootup:
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 rc.sysinit: Mounting USB filesystem:  succeeded
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 modprobe: /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8/usb/usb-ohci.o:
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 modprobe: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 modprobe: init_module: Device or resource busy
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 modprobe: /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8/usb/usb-ohci.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8/usb/usb-ohci.o failed
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 modprobe: /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8/usb/usb-ohci.o: insmod usb-ohci failed
Dec 11 19:42:39 imc05 rc.sysinit: Initializing USB controller (usb-ohci):  failed

I don't think it is critical but am curious.

Any ideas?

Sincere thanks to everyone involved in this - the forums and available help are awesome!

Geoff,

I reported the same or similiar problem a couple of months ago and didn't really get an answer to the issue.  I can tell you that by disabling USB in BIOS fixed the problem for me but obviously doesn't do much good if you want to run USB on your system.

Hi,
Did you figure out a solution to this?
I am running into the same thing on one system.
Disabling USB in BIOS did not sort it out.
