HI ALL, Trying to get SME server setup on our LAN at school. The "actual" (7) servers were setup, by a professional", ISP/consultant/provider,( new this summer), so this SME server is an experiment for a lab group. We have got the SME box recognized, now on our lan,but when we try and "browse" to get to the GUI of SME server ,we get the "proxy server" box popup,,to open a web browser,( which is normal, when anyone opens a webbrowser),and when I enter  the usual administrator /password, an extra[domain/] is enter in front of administrator, We have this box setup as an private router/gateway,config. We are close but the proxy "popup/logon,, is preventing us from accessing the GUI portion, of SEM server to "learn" anything from it? I know something like this is hard to "talk " someone through it,, to resolve this issue. If anyone would like to help,,any replys would be appreiciated. Thanks,

Cyrus Bharda

Have you set your browsers proxy settings to "Bypass proxy server for local addresses" as you dont/(cannt?) want your existing proxy to act as a proxy for the SME box, then the server-manager (GUI) would always be a cached version?

Just taking wild stabs in the dark here :-)

Try putting 'http://192.168.1.1:980' in your Browser address bar, where '192.168.1.1' is the IP address of your SME server
