Pop Account not working

Pop Account not working

We have a box that had user accounts on it when it was a 4.2 box and was migrated to 5.0 and then 5.5. We never tested the pop3 access until now and what we find is, if I add a new account I can pop into it fine, but not any of the old accounts. If I delete and recreate the old accounts we can't pop into them but any new accounts are fine.
Any Ideas??

I've heard of other issues where new users work fine, but older ones don't. I think making ANY change to the user's account and saving it usually fixes it, though I don't have any firsthand experience with it. Perhaps you can make a simple change to the user (first name?) then change it back, and that will "update" the account info?
