port forwarding

port forwarding

First off, sorry for asking such a stupid question. Just that i know the word "Linux" and everything else about it is a total blur to me. :(

But the problem is following- i need to forward some ports from server to my comp. And i don't have any clue how to do it. So i would really appriciate some help.

Install the port forwarding panel RPM. Then just pick the port you want forwarded, and the destination IP and port.

If you don't know how to install an RPM, you'll want to read up on that as well. If you install the Update System panel, you can install RPMs right from the Server Manager rather than messing with the command line every time. Very helpful for newbies like me...
