Same problem, Maybe? Using Optimumonline. E-mail gets thru, web-page access does not. Tried the default_port change for as posted for 5.1, but that didn't do it.

Am I missing something? I can't figure out where to start.

I followed the HOW-TO for this carefully and it worked fine for me with SME 5.1.2. I did all the work from the SME server's console. The paths are very long so type carefully and recheck several times. As a newbie to e-Smith and LINUX, I sometimes get lost in the HOW-TO's. The basic steps for this one are:

1) create the custom template directories
2) copy the two template files into your custom template directory
3) edit the two new custom templates
4) expand the httpd.conf file from the new custom templates
5) restart the web server

Let us know which step your having trouble with and maybe provide a little more detail about specific error messages and such.

Hi Ray:

Yes, that's what I had tried. Not quite the same on 5.5 as 5.1, but I think I have the gist of it. Couldn't find anything relevant in the logs as far as errors afterwards, just no recognition of web-page access (yet mail is just fine).

Just loaded another box with 5.6, gonna give it one more shot.
