Topic: qmail and dropped internet connection

I have a mailing list of about 2500 customers who have subscribed to a my mailing list.  Recently in the middle of sending out mailling list, the internet connection dropped and didn't reconnect until the next day.  What does qmail do with the emails it can't send because of this (i.e. Sorry,_I_couldn't_find_any_host_by_that_name errors)?  Does it put them in a queue for later delivery, or does it bounce them immediately?
