I have the folowing setup : SME6.0 server connecting to 15 Mac OS X Clients. We connect to the server using AppleTalk to access the Home Directories of the users and SMB to access the IBays. I am running LVM 1.08 on the server as well.
Lately we've been having a problem where once we mount the Ibays with SMB, it disapears off the desktop after a random amount of time. When we try to reconnect, it is not available (grayed out) and we have to restart the server (or Samba) to connect to it again. The macs tend to keep the home directorys (mounted using appletalk) as well as Samba Mounts from the lone windows pc on the network. Strange Hey?
Is there a later version of Samba available (pref an rpm for SME6)
Any clues/guidance would be appreciated
