Mail forwarding with v3.1
« on: May 29, 2000, 02:07:20 PM »
Hi,

I'd like to know if it is possible to change e-smith v3.1 to forward
all OUTBOUND e-mail message to another server. We have a MS Proxy
server with a virus and content scanner on it. In order for the scanner to
scan the messages and attachments for viruses etc., all mail needs to be
forwarded to the proxy server from where it will be send to the recipient
after the scanning is complete. I've searched the e-smith manual, but
there is no information which tells you how to forward e-mail messages.

Thanx in advance for any help.

E-Smith uses the QMail Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) so for addition information try: http://www.qmail.org/

For other people reading this post, with E-smith 4.0bx has an option to set the default route from the web interface.
