Topic: Gallery 1.3.3 on SME 5.6

Hi all,

Last night I tried to install Gallery 1.3.3 using Dan Brown's How To, the libtiff and netpbm updates I applied were those for Redhat 7.3 and got no errors on installing these.

However when I came to try and run the setup via web browser http://yourdomain/gallery/setup however this prompts Internet Explorer 6 to either try to download the setup program to my hard disk or try and open it with notepad.

So what did I do wrong??

Install was done via webconsole and User manager for RPM installs.

I installed post nuke the previous evening with out incident.

I've seen this problem with various websites.  Usually, trying again later (or trying a different browser) will take care of it.  I don't know why it's happening, though.

Hi Paul,
   Did you ran the 'sh configure.sh' before setup the Gallery via the web interface?  Which change the permission bits of the setup directory.
