Topic: routing problems

I have e-smith 4.2.1 running on a remote computer with dialin access and internet access via a separate hardware firewall. My problem is after a period of time routing through the remote dialup seems to stop, I cannot ping any address outside the ethernet address on the remote host.

Any help ould be very appreciated.
