Has anyone been able to get a Promise SX4000 raid card to work in SME 5.6? (Yes, I know about 3-ware and kernel support)
I can load the Promise driver with insmod -f. It grumbles about the kernel version not matching but seems to be OK. Depmod -e returns no errors. Everything seems like it should work but I can't find the raid array anywhere in the devices. The card shows up in lspci, but there is no sign of any raid array in either dmesg or cat /proc/scsi/scsi.
Any leads appriciated.
