Topic: Update Snort Rules

Anyone know how to update my snort rules?  I've been running my 5.1.2 server since 8/02 without a restart and have become brain dead.

Also need to update guardian rules probably.

the latest version of Ari Novikoff's contribution (based on snort 1.9) includes an update script for the snort rules. This runs weekly by cron but can be changed easily. BTW, you can find it on contribs.org.
