What is cnxscan (and Dracula)?
« on: March 19, 2003, 12:57:55 PM »
Hi,

This morning I discovered a process taking up a lot of CPU time.
The application is called cnxscan.

"Top" shows:

PID    USER PRI  NI  SIZE   RSS   SHARE  STAT  %CPU  %MEM
4062  www    15    0  1072   1072   476         R        89.5       0.8

TIME      COMMAND
488:05    ./cnxscan 216.87.0.0 -s 200 --background

Last week I found another process taking up a lot of CPU called Dracula -
also with user www.

Does anyone know what this is?

Holger,

Send an email to smesecurity@mitel.com with as much information as you can on both processes that you have found plus
Server version
Installed updates
etc

I would suggest that you do not discuss this any further on the list

Jon
