Topic: Have to refresh before able to browse

Hey guys,

I've never seen this before. Before I can browse (sme is gateway to internet, does dhcp, there is only a switch between it and me) I have to hit refresh.

After I hit refresh everything comes up just fine. Any ideas?

Don't know if your setup is like mine but I had the same trouble with my Win XP Pro SP1 clients.  Trouble was with IE.  I installed XP SP2 and it was fixed. I'mn told there may be other versions of IE with this problem too.

I've came across another thread advising to check for the version of IE but IE had not been updated or changed so I didn't think it was the version type.

I logged into one of the user's account, winXP sp2, and unchecked the proxy server (using dansguardian with software from dungog+pam_auth) and saved the settings and then re-enabled it.

It appeared to correct the problem for everyone! Thanks for your advice though.
