I'm looking for a HOWTO for Mailman list manager or if someone can recommend another list manager.
Nice to have is opt-in with verification and selective messaging (newsletter).

Hello

mailman is alright but you might find it is a pain to setup

try mailgust very simple to setup and admin

to install just unzip or untar into an ibay of your choice
mailgust or maillist something set the ibay permissions to use
php

then go to http://your-domain.com/mailgust

and it will walk you through the setup it's easy
