Topic: Troubleshooting printer

Hi,

I have a printer on the printer port (lpt1/lp0) that will not work with the installation of SME that I have now.  It did previously work on another computer.  Basicly when you send a test page to \servername\printername, it just gives a generic error to suggest that the print job has failed.  Is there a log anywhere that deals with the printing system that I can look at, or does anyone have any other tips to try?  The accounts that we are logging in under are also on the SME server, with the passwords syncronised.

Have you removed & recreated the printer share?

Hi,

Yes I have done this, the first thing I did actually.  I may try reinstalling over next weekend, as I now have a good system to backup.
