Topic: CLAM AV 5.5 and Update

Hello

I am using CLAM AV
i am recently receiving lot of update fail message from my postmaster which is unable to contact clamav servers.

[root@chewie quarantine]# clamd -V
clamd / ClamAV version 0.60

Is there any procedure to update clamav on my 5.5?

The reason for your clamav's failing update procedure might because that (old) versions update format is not supported any longer?

You have to update clamav to a newer version. Damien Curtain (www.pagefault.org) created a very handy installation and update contribution for clamav on SME server although I do not know whether this will work on SME 5.5 which apparently you have. Please note that it is highly recommended to upgrade SME to latest version 6.01 for security reasons.
