I picked up on his thread
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=7340.msg26799#msg26799 recently and I would really like to be able to have this feature installed on my e-smith box.
I'm sure other users who don't have a keyboard and monitor attached and/or those of us who have children (or clients) who like pushing buttons will see the benefit of having the system close down cleanly if the power button is pressed.
I am however a complete Linux newbie when it comes to compiling modules using dev-tools. I admit that I wouldn't know where to start. Am I right in thinking that installation would be fairly straightforward if the module was already compiled for e-smith, I am using 5.5U6 but will be upgrading to 5.6 soon.
The source for the powerswitch module can still be found at
http://www.carpc.nl/download/powerswitch-1.4.tar.gz. Any suggestions or help with this would be appreciated.
