why the dial connection comming up at boot ?

probably, you have configured e-smith server and gateway as dedicate.รน
change configuration in dial up on demand.

no it happens to me too

till i'm informed otherwise i have
killall diald
in rc.local

The dial connection comes up at boot time because the DNS daemon always sends off query packets to the root name servers when it starts up.

Since you should be rebooting very infrequently, I don't think this should be a significant problem for you.

This is unlikely to be a good solution to the problem - if it really is that.

Can you not just tolerate the dialup at boot time?
