Hello, i'm having problems installing an SME 5.1, under a PPOE connection.

My  connection have a Dynamic IP assignement, but i don't know why, when i Tell SME that i'm using a PPOE connection,  SME assume a Fixed IP.

How can i configure a PPOE with a dynamic IP assignment ??

Also, when a decide tu use a DHCP Dynamic IP, SME ask only for the username but not my account password.

Someone know how to configure a PPOE over a Dynamic IP environment ??

5.1?  That's dangerously out of date. Try 5.6.

No, PPPoE always assumes a dynamic IP assignment (or at least, always an ISP assigned address, whether static or dynamic).

Thank you, really i have the 5.6 version.

I don't know what happened but it's works !!, with Server and Gateway Dedicated and PPoE Configuration.   But i don't understand clearly why, because i did try it unsuccesfully previosly.

There are a way to do changes in the Server Configuration without the need to reboot the system ?
