first let me start off by saying please don't flame me as I have searched the forums and have tried the 10LimitSiteChmod template, but I can not get the server to allow chmod in the HTML folders in the IBays on 5.6.  Is there something  I'm missing?

IIRC, it's not called 10LimitSiteChmod in 5.6 - I think it's 05DisallowChmod or something like that (in the same location as 10LimitSiteChmod should be) - change the value from true to false. Worked for me )

after going through all the templates for proftp I have found no file 05DisallowChmod but the file 10LimitSiteChmod is there, is this right?

First off, sorry - I forgot I changed back to 5.5 recently (long story )), and that's where the 05DisallowChmod came in. What did you change in 10LimitSiteChmod? There are instructions for allowing chmod here: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=6862.msg24742#msg24742. I think they should apply to 5.6, but in 5.5 I had to use the 05DisallowChmod file instead.

     i followed the instructions from http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=6862.msg24742#msg24742, but that still did not allow chmod, and ideas?
