HI
How do I update the MX records for my dynamic IP.
My IP gets updated but dnydns.org inform me that I need to set the MX update from the server as well.
I cant seem to find this in the installation docs.
Thanks for any help

Your MX record is a part of your domain name. You need to set a MX record at dyndns.org for your domain name. For most cases your MX (Stands for Mail Exchange) record can simply be the same as your domain name. Look in the settings for your domain at dyndns.org and you will find spots for 3 MX records. Your primary MX record has the lowest priority number (the top slot)

HI Bill
Many thanks for your reply here.
Thing is I am trying to set up store and forward  email with my dynamic IP. My MX back up is with ' email.dnyu.com '
If my server goes offline I need the mail stored at  ' dnyu.com '  untill
I can get back online.
Thing is when my server  updates its  IP it removes the back up MX.
I'm informed by dyndns.org that I can set the esmith server to update the MX as well. ( I have it set as 'back up' for ETRN mail at the moment )
Do I need to reconfigure the server?
Thanks for your time
Regards
Frank
ps I'm using dnydns.org for dynamic ip and dnyu.com
for the mail store and forward service.
