Topic: slow multipop pickup

I have SME ver5.6 with update 4 and Stephen Noble's Dungog-multipop RPM - e-smith-multipop-0.1-4.noarch.rpm installed. I have 15 users on so far all working well. My problem is that when I add new users it takes up to a few days before the mulipop begins picking up mail from the remote site. There are only 2 sites that I pickup mail from. I can see that there is mail available for pickup with the webmail tool. Once mail has been picked up once then there is no problem. I have the pickup interval set at 5 mins. The log files do not indicate any authentication problems. Thanks
