Topic: RAM upgrade

Hi all !!!

I have an SME 5.6U4 with 128 MB RAM, and I would like upgrade to 256 MB. When I put in the extra RAM and boot, it hangs at startup, right after the nice blue MITTEL screen.

It says something like "Kernel Panic  Trying to kill init.."

Does anyone know what that means ? and how to fix this problem ?

P.S. If I enter the BIOS of the machine, it says 256 MB RAM.

Hi You possibly have a mem speed mismatch try Mem of the same type
