clam error after running a while
« on: September 17, 2003, 07:54:38 AM »
using www.pagefault.org's howto (thanks for that guys!)
ive installed clamav-0.60-2.i386.rpm and appropriate amavis & all.

everything worked fine, until...
sme has done one of its periodical re-organisations.
(this is the only coincidence i can see)

now mail is not arriving, and Ive tracked it down to when i
/usr/bin/qmail-queue.amavis
the error
'Use of uninitialized value in split at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/AMAVIS/Notify/Admin.pm line 23.'
appears

all other recommended test in the howto are ok (eg perl -e 'use AMAVIS::AV::CLAMD')

i could just reinstall but i presume it will fail again after a while:
any help would be appreciated??

hi... had the same thing...

i then was going through the how-to on pagefault.org again and found, that i accidently forgot to uncomment these lines in /etc/amavis-ng/amavis.conf in block [Notify]

local domain =
mail from =
admin =

there is a ; on the beginning of these lines. so i uncommented them and voila: no more errmsgs.

but other than that, the scanner doesn't seem to work with sme6b3... there's no additional x-header and the logfile doesn't show anything but starting amavis. nevertheless the email-system seems to work properly.

any ideas?

cheers, thorsten
